Ultimately, it's great to finally get a 10" ion netbook. It's slightly disappointing for some people that it comes with the 1024 x 600 resolution also. The majority of people find HD resolution on 10" screens to be too small so the 1024 x 600 shouldn't be a deal breaker. According to Asus official product page, the 1015PN will HDMI out 1080p.
September 13, 2010 - There is some confusion out there regarding the Asus 1215N ION 2 netbook. It seems that you get Bluetooth 3.0, but you may not see the 1215N with the USB 3.0. Read the details before you buy one! I've read that 1 of the 3 USB ports is 3.0 version. We are not sure if this is temporary or what exactly is going on. It's unfortunate because a lot of people were excited about getting all the best technolgy and instead will get some new stuff but not all of it. Best plan? Check out the detail if you are unsure and don't want to end up disappointed. Augst 14, 2010 - The first 10" ION netbook, the Asus 1015PN with dual core Atom 550 is coming soon. That said, the 1015PN is the single core ION netbook. Let's hope that the 1015PN is going to offer substantial battery performance over the 1015N. As you may or may not know the new 1215PN with single core Atom with ION 2 is not that much better than the 1201N. When you consider speed, battery life and graphic capabilities, most people still prefer the 1201N over the 1201PN. Something to consider when looking at the upcoming 1015PN.
July 1, 2010 - If you're waiting for the ultimate netbook, then check out the upcoming 1215N netbook from Asus. I can't think of anything this ION netbook is missing. Amazing! Asus are the leaders and fully back the Nvidia ION platform which is good for all of us. When will the other manufacturers realize ION is what most people want in a netbook? If people don't want ION, then I believe they have never heard of the ION netbooks. Get more for less I always say. Most netbooks are using the Atom processor and the ION processor enhanced the Atoms ability to render graphics. The future is ION netbook computers because as with all other technologies, they get small, faster, and better over time.
